This image presents the road to Mt. Whitney which is the tallest mountain in the lower United States. The photographer was alone in his quest to eat at the little cafe at the trailhead to Mt. Whitney. He was thwarted by the road being closed due to the incoming storm seen in the distance beyond the mountains.
